Our Story
Walking Tours Tirana: Connecting Travelers with Local Guides
A local tourism platform created to connect visitors with authentic walking experiences led by local guides. We focus on small groups, neighborhood stories, and real interactions that help travelers understand the city beyond its landmarks.
How It All Started
Walking Tours Tirana was founded by Albiona Muçoimaj, a licensed guide with extensive experience working with international visitors. Through her years of guiding, she noticed that many skilled guides—especially women and young mothers—struggled to remain active in tourism because guiding often requires rigid schedules and agency-based employment.
Walking Tours Tirana was designed as a flexible alternative, allowing guides to work independently and list their own tours, giving them visibility, autonomy, and the possibility to manage their working time around family responsibilities.
